SPARVAR armachair – 2010 – limited edition

Poltrona e pouf, progetto ready-made realizzato con i vuoti di spray utilizzati da writer e street artist. Nasce dall’esplicita manifestazione dell’unione creativa del designer, che mescola sapientemente competenze professionali a quelle di writer e street artist che opera nella scena artistica contemporanea. Il progettista focalizza l’attenzione sullo strumento proprio utilizzato dagli artisti di strada, inducendo lo spettatore ad una profonda riflessione sul tema e l’importanza del ri-uso. Con il tempo, le aziende produttrici di bombolette spray hanno riservato maggiori attenzioni alle vernici e ai propellenti utilizzati – riducendone notevolmente l’impatto ambientale – a differenza del contenitore che rimane un prodotto assolutamente non riciclabile. Di conseguenza, dall’esperienza di writer e street artist che ha visto accumularsi nei diversi anni di attività numerosi “vuoti” e grazie allo studio e all’osservazione della geometria dell’oggetto – un cilindro quasi perfetto e la sua potenziale modularità – l’artista grazie ai 202 vuoti utilizzati per la poltrona e i 38 vuoti utilizzati per il pouf, é riuscito tramite un intervento creativo-progettuale a dar vita ad un prodotto d’arredo contemporaneo.

Sparvar -armchair and pouf- is a ready-made project,  which creation is based on the use of empty spray paint cans utilised from street artists and writers. The project originates from explicit manifestation of designer’s creative union : he wisely blends his professional skills writer’s, who operates within contemporary art scene. The designer focuses his attention on the proper instruments used by street artist, inducing the observer to a deep reflection upon reuse’s importance.Time after time, spray cans’ manufactures have been paying more and more attention to the varnishes and propellants they were using, -reducing the environmental impact- unlike the can, which definitely remains not recyclable. Consequently, by his experience as writer and street artist who saw, through several years of activity, a huge backlog of empties, and also thanks to his studies and investigations of can’s geometry -nearly a perfect cylinder with all its potential modularity-, the designer succeeded in creating a contemporary product of design which is characterized by creativity and planning at the same time. Armchair and pouf are respectively made out of 202 and 38empty cans.
